The flag consists of three vertical stripes, red, green and blue. The armed
forces emblem is placed in the center of the flag. Ratio is 2:3. The emblem is
composed by symbols of branches placed on a light blue disc, two swords for
army, wings for air force, anchor for navy. The state coat of arms is placed
over the composed emblem, while a crocodile is depicted under them. The “Gambian
Armed Forces” inscription is written on a yellow scroll underneath.

When I was in Gambia the army flag was full green, sometimes with emblem and
frequently without. I'm not sure that the emblem was the same because it was
forbidden to be near the headquaters and I couldn't see the details.

The Navy flag was in use when I visited and I took a photo in Banjul Port
several years ago, but access to port was also forbidden to people that took a
ferry (as was for me) and then the photo was take from far away. I asked the
office of the Gambian Navy in Banjul who give me the following description: "A
white flag, the Gambian flag on the upper left hand corner. The Gambia coat of
arms with the words (progress, peace, prosperity). A ship's anchor below the
coat of arms."
The coat of arms really is on the flag as can be see in
the second photo posted,

I made a reconstruction and with support of the photo I took about 2005.
